New research1 has revealed that key decision makers in hospitality businesses are hungry for premium, Australian-made food products that help businesses with three key challenges.
Time pressure, hygiene and wastage were identified as the three top reasons why 78% of industry professionals said they were interested in using single-serve condiments.
The research findings are welcome news to fine food producer Birch & Waite, coinciding with the launch of three new dressings (Greek Lemon, Green Goddess, and Japanese Style) in their premium single-serve product range, On-The-Go.
Birch & Waite CEO Paul O’Brien says that the research findings match what they have been hearing from customers since their initial launch of the On-The-Go sauce range in 2021.
“Our customers have been adopting single-serve products because they reduce pressures on staffing, as there is no need for decanting or container sanitisation, and product wastage. These are great benefits for businesses of all sizes”, said O’Brien.
When it came to the most desirable attributes for single-serve products, the survey found that premium quality (63%), fresh ingredients / real flavour (60%), and Australian made (56%) were top of the list.
These are results that justify Birch & Waite’s high standards. Working in collaboration with chefs, the company has made a long-term commitment to producing premium quality products. Their batch-crafted sauces and dressings are made in Australia to a chef standard from the freshest, high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. They also don’t add preservatives, artificial colours or flavours.
Steve Sidd, Managing Director of Catering HQ Group, says that the On-The-Go range has enabled his businesses to operate more smoothly and improved customer satisfaction across their 26 dining concepts.
“Not only does the versatile range offer time-saving and convenience, but our customers absolutely love these high-quality products. They have a great original flavour and are 100% Australian owned. We wouldn’t consider any other products now,” said Sidd.
Birch & Waite is offering businesses the opportunity to try their On-The-Go sauces and dressings with a free trial pack. Businesses who order a free sample pack before July 25 will also go into a draw, for the chance to win $1,000 worth of product from Birch & Waite.
