We’re proud to announce our partnership with The Fred Hollows Foundation.
The Fred Hollows Foundation is an Australian charity that works around the world to restore sight to people who are needlessly blind. The Foundation was founded in 1992 by internationally renowned eye surgeon and humanitarian, Professor Fred Hollows, who had a vision to see a world where no one is needlessly blind. While it didn’t happen in Fred’s lifetime, The Foundation is working hard to make sure it happens in ours.
For Campos, good ethics means more than just avoiding bad practice. It means actively supporting good practice and helping the communities we work with. That’s why we’ve chosen to donate to The Fred Hollows Foundation to support their ongoing work in Ethiopia and Kenya, two countries where we source our coffee. The Foundation’s work in Ethiopia and Kenya is focused on improving the eye health of the workforce and to treat and prevent the spread of blinding, infectious eye diseases, like trachoma.
Together, our vision is to transform lives by creating a long-lasting ripple effect of prosperity that improves the quality of life of not just our producers but also the lives of their families and wider community.
“We wholeheartedly believe in Campos’ ability to impact the lives of the communities from which we buy beautiful coffees, and The Fred Hollows Foundation allows us to do just that. Restoring sight to those most in need throughout Kenya and Ethiopia is something we and our customers can be proud of supporting.”- Sarah Lynch, Campos Head of Marketing.
