Golden Bean World Series 2024

It’s been an amazing year for the coffee industry with lots of live events happening as the world bounces back and caffeinates itself. We have successfully completed two great Golden Beans this year, Columbus Ohio, USA in September and Diamond Beach NSW, Australasia in November. Many new faces have become part of the Golden Bean Family, with over two thousand entries from more than five hundred global coffee companies. Golden Bean is the largest Coffee Roasting Competition in the world and is striving to bring the skill of roasters to the foreground of the coffee business. We appreciate the high level of skill and dedication it takes to create a world winning coffee and showcasing them at the Golden Bean World Series is the pinnacle of success and industry recognition.

We have just released the dates and rules for this years’ World Series Golden Bean in Melbourne Australia on 26th and 27th February 2024. We are holding the competition at the historic Batman’s Hill on Collins Street. The World Series is open to past silver and gold medal winners of The Golden Bean. Entrants enter three coffees of their choice and roast profile in espresso, milk and filter. The entry fee is $600 AUD for the three coffees, and we will only take the first 100 roasters who enter. To attend the event and be a judge/delegate will cost $600 AUD per person. We will have three divisions of the competition again with overall winner, small chain/franchise and large chain/franchise. This year there will be medals awarded for each of these sections.

This year’s Golden Bean World Series will be showcasing the global coffee capital “Melbourne” and included with their ticket delegates will get to be part of some fun networking and educational experiences during their visit. On Wednesday 28th February we will take a cafe and roastery tour of some of Melbourne’s cafe/coffee success stories. There will be three evening functions and an awards ceremony.
